About the event
Rosa Vrij invites you into a world of socially critical surrealism. Expect acrobatic advertising ballets, political pool matches, extravagant wig rituals performed by brand-minded teens, and transport boxes that magically unfold. In this capitalist fairytale, the art of optimization is elevated to a choreographed sport, and humans are reduced to mere cogs in a production process that's spiraling out of control.
Inspired by graphic novels, films, and video games, Rosa explored how to transform her vivid imagination to the theater space during the IMPACT talent program. The result feels like a meeting between Severance and Hotel Modern, with a touch of IKEA. The Chair, the Wig and the Sheep is the next step toward a new universe that she will continue to build in the coming years.
